Accessibility

The Dutch government is committed to providing online information that is user friendly, accessible, well designed and findable. The websites of public authorities need to be easy for the public to find, view and use.

Why an accessible website?

An accessible website can be used more easily by all target groups. Therefore, the Dutch Temporary decree on the government’s digital accessibility demands that government websites comply with accessibility requirements as put down in EN 301 549/WCAG 2.1, and account for this in a published accessibility statement (toegankelijkheidsverklaring).

In our processes, various measures are in place to ensure optimum accessibility of our website.

This website has been developed in accordance with the EU accessibility standard EN 301 549. This standard is based on internationally recognized guidelines regarding accessibility, sustainability, interoperability, and web findability.

We are currently working to further improve the accessibility of this website. A revised accessibility statement will be published in early December 2025.
