This privacy statement covers your registration to the Hansken Community newsletter or the use of the contact form. The Hansken Community sees to the correct management and processing of the personal data that is collected through these channels.

What information will be processed by the Hansken Community?

The Hansken Community will process your personal data because you decided to register for the Hansken newsletter and/or you submitted a contribution through the contact form.

In accordance with this, you shared the following personal data:

  • First and last name
  • Country of residence
  • Email address
  • Employer/organisation you represent

Other personal information that you provide in documents you may attach to your question/reaction and anything you include in your profile to make use of the Conference Platform.

What is the purpose and legal basis for processing personal data?

The Hansken Community processes your personal data because you are registered to receive the newsletter, or because you asked a question via our contact form. We will use the data you shared with us to answer to your needs and not use it for a different purpose.  

How long do we keep your personal data?

The Hansken Community keeps data for no longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected and certainly not longer than two years. This timeframe has been set down by virtue of the Dutch Public Records Act (Archiefwet). In case of the newsletter, your data will not be kept any longer after you unregistered. In case you used the contact form, your data will not be kept longer then two years, unless you ask us to remove it from our database on a shorter term.

Sharing data with third parties

The Hansken Community does not sell your data to third parties. Although the Hansken Community consists of several parties, the data is only used in the context of the Hansken platform and not by the individual organisations.

How do we protect personal data?

The Hansken Community takes data protection seriously, and takes suitable measures to combat abuse, loss, and unauthorised accessing, unwanted publication, and/or unauthorised amendment of data.

Accessing, rectifying, and erasing data

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw permission to process your data, and to object to the processing of your data by the Hansken Community. Finally, you have the right to ‘data portability’. This means you can ask us to send the personal data in our possession to you or another organisation of your choice. You can make such a request by writing to:
