Project Description

This project focuses on developing extraction plugins for Hansken for advanced image and video analysis, emphasizing face detection and creating embedding vectors for facial recognition. The goal is to replace or supplement existing systems like the Forensic Image Recognition Engine (FIRE), which uses outdated models, with state-of-the-art machine learning models capable of analyzing images and videos faster and more accurately. Students will evaluate and test various modern algorithms, aiming to integrate the most effective solution into Hansken.

Why This Project Is Interesting

In an era where visual data is growing exponentially, this project offers the opportunity to equip Hansken with the latest technologies in image recognition. This is crucial for identifying individuals and objects in investigations, leading to faster and more accurate results.
